Auctions and requests for quotations are functionalities that allow for the selection of a Transportation/Logistics company to carry out the transportation of goods in a given assignment.


The distinction between an auction and a request for quotation is as follows:


  • Auction - identifies the "Winner," that is, the company executing the transport at the conclusion of the auction,
  • Request for Quotation - provides an overview of offers submitted by Transportation/Logistics companies. The ultimate decision regarding the executing company is made by the Customer User by assigning the transport order to the chosen company (read on -> How to assign an order to a selected company?)

How to place an assignment for auction?


Locate the transportation assignment in the table, then:

  1. Click the "+Auction" button in the Price column
  2. A creation form for the auction will appear:
  3. Complete the fields:
    1. Auction closing date – date,
    2. Price range
      1. Min – numeric field,
      2. Max (mandatory field) – numeric field,
      3. Currency – drop-down list,
    3. Select auction participants (mandatory field) – tick to select all available companies, or choose from the list provided below. Only transportation/logistics companies can participate in auctions/quotations; suppliers/receivers cannot be invited for quotations,
    4. Select a group of transportation companies – tick to choose companies that are assigned to specific transportation firms,
    5. Other requirements (visible to carriers) – text field,
  4. After filling out the form, confirm with the "Save auction" button.
  5. Once created, the auction will be visible in the "Transports" table.
  6. Clicking the "History" button in the "Price" column will reveal details about the ongoing auction.
  7. Upon clicking "Save auction" carriers will be notified by email about the possibility of submitting offers. After logging in, carriers will see the assignment in the table with the active "Bid" button. The best offer will be displayed in the "Price" column:


How to Create New Request for Quotation?


Request for quotations are established for transportation assignments visible in the Transportation tab.


To add a new request for quotation:


  1. Locate the assignment to which you wish to add a request for quotation,
  2. In the Price column, click the +Quotation button,
  3. A creation form for the quotation will appear,
  4. Complete the form:
    1. Deadline for submitting offers – calendar field. Choose until when companies will be able to add offers to the assignment,
    2. Select participants for the quotation – selection field. Indicate companies that will participate in the quotation,
  5. Other requirements – text field.
  6. Click the "Submit Quotation" button,
  7. The quotation has been sent to the selected transportation companies.


The current best quotation will be displayed in the table in the Price column. Other quotations can be viewed using the History button.
